How to visit Belarus 2024

The government of Belarus has lifted restrictions for foreign citizens and stateless persons when entering the country through land borders.

Citizens of 76 countries are allowed to enter Belarus for up to 30 days through the country's airports - Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev.

At the moment, air traffic between Belarus and Europe is limited, but there are regular flights from the southern direction - Turkey, Israel, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, the United Arab Emirates. You can fly to Belarus in transit through Russia, but please note that, in this case, the visa-free regime does not apply to citizens of 76 countries. Such a flight is possible only with a Belarusian visa; also, citizens of many countries may need a transit Russian visa. The necessary information should be checked with the carrier.

When entering Belarus through the land border, most foreigners need a visa. Except for citizens of those countries with which Belarus has agreements on mutual visa-free travel.

When crossing the border, foreign citizens are required to present documents confirming the purpose of the trip, translated into one of the state languages ​​of the Republic of Belarus (Belarusian, Russian). The accuracy of the translation or the authenticity of the translator's signature on the translation must be certified by a notary or another person entitled to perform such a notarial act.

For business trips, it can be a contract with a Belarusian company partner (organization) or an invitation, etc. A private visit may require a copy of the invitation with all the details of the inviting person. Entry for tourism purposes must be confirmed by a copy of the contract with a valid Belarusian travel company.
